WHY NOT A DEPARTMENT OF DAYDREAMS TOO?

It's security, stupid. The only issue that matters is who is best going to keep murderers and psychopaths far from our shores. Everything else -- Bush's history as a jackass, slow job growth, forest management policy, deficit reduction -- is a side show. The collapse of Social Security is no longer the nightmare; Beslan is.Indeed, Beslan is.

The nation is trying to figure out how to fight global terrorism and he's talking about having "not just a Department of Health and Human Services, but a Department of Wellness." How about a Department of F***ing Perspective?How can one understand the nature of the nightmare and yet go ahead and vote for Kerry, the daydream candidate?
